In today’s unstable world, people are looking for an anchor to hold onto, and for many people that anchor is God.  God is all knowing, unchanging, loving, and understanding.  The wonderful thing about Christianity is that God knows only too well the troubles that we face day to day, as His Son Jesus Christ had come to live and dwell among us.  Not only had he dwelt with us, but he died for our wrongdoings on the Cross.  But it did not end there:  Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead and ascended to heaven, and continues to be involved  in our lives.  During our lives we all experience many deaths ourselves – death of self through vanished hopes and dreams, losses of health and love, job redundancies, the passing away of loved ones. We can be thankful though that Jesus stands with us in these times until we too find resurrection, transformation, and new beginnings.
